Sig 239 in 40 S&W

have a nice sig 239 and was wondering can the magazine release button be changed from the left side to the right. Have had it for about 5 years and the only thing I don't like about it is the lefty mag release. Thanks, Frank

Boy...if you asked about any other sig i would say yes right away. The 239 has a little bit different mag release than most of the others. I will look in my armores manual tomorrow at work and see.

danski26, any help at all would be greatly appreciated. The trigger finger is the quickest for releaseing the mag button. My baretta 92fs was very easy to change over. Thanks again, Frank

I'm sorry, I dropped the ball. I forgot to look yesterday at work. As soon as i got there i had stuff waiting for me and it was a 14 hour day. I have off today for my daughters birthday. I go in tomorrow and will write myself a not to look tomorrow. I get done at work @ 11:00 pm and surf this sight a bit to unwind so i will post late tomorrow night.

Yes you can change the mag release on the p239. It switches over just like the rest of the P series. I might be able to scan the pages out of the manual and e-mail them to you otherwise i can copy them and snail mail. Just remember......if you put the magazine catch stop in the wrong way, it is a trip back to the factory and they have to drill out the frame to get it out.
