I shoot at an outdoor range in an area where theres alot of .22LR competition. On our 25 yard and 50 yard ranges the 22 brass is so thick on sundays its literally an inch of more deep. I don't swag but I have alot of respect for those that do and would like to help. Anyone who wants it I will save it for if you cover postage.

My other question is is there any swagging use for 22 win mag brass or 17 hornet brass? See alot of that too.

I'm in for a large flat rate box. Mighty nice of you thanks. I'm starting a new project and could use some of this brass, as far as I know the mag and hornet brass is also able to make bullets from.

Thanks I'll send a PM

sheepdog,

That is a very nice offer from you. I swage bullets using .22lr brass and would love to have a flat rate box full. Let me know when you have a box full, and I will be happy to cover postage.

Is that 17 brass 17hmr rimfire or 17 hornet centerfire?

If it is centerfire I would like to have some to make into .22 Hornet centerfire for my Ruger rifle, if it is rimfire I wouldn't really need it.

Thanks,

Rat-Man

Its 17 rimfire. Not a whole mess of it but shame for it to go to waste. Same with 22 WMR, I keep getting it mixed with my 5.7 brass so I end up picking it up anyway. :)

I figured it was rimfire but I had to ask. I could have been my lucky day and people were throwing away perfectly good centerfire brass.

sheepdog, that is one of the kindest gestures I have seen in a while.
Thank you very much for your kindness and efforts.
That is the kind of act that makes the people on this site so fantastic.

K I got the list down. This weekend I'll start the collection. Also in this as some nickel and steel 22 LR cases. I figure this nicket would make a nice slick projectile, steel hmm not sure maybe good for better penetration? Let me know if either of these aren't worth collecting.

Don't know if you still have any left. I would like to get some. I sent a PM I think but don't know if you got it. Anyway, I just need enough to try out new dies I am making for 22 bullets. Thank you

Aain will take awhile but hell its basically free. :) BTW guys that need 22 WMR brass be sure to send me a PM so it goes to a good home.

Ok couple questions. Steel 22 cases, worth picking up for defensive loads? Nickel 22 cases worth picking up as well? 22 short and 22 CB cases too? Anyone swaging 9mm aluminum cases for big calibers?

I don't think that I would try steel cases myself.

For the number of people that are interested in these, I think you should just sweep them into a pile, throw out the big chunks (maybe run a magnet over them to suck out the steel), box them up and send them out.

I think that watching what you pick up will get old real quick, it will take a lot to fill a flat rate box with .22 cases.

Sheepdog, I agree with Rat Man, just sweep them up, run a magnet over them to pull the steel out, and remove the big chunks. If I get some brass that I cannot use, no big deal... You do not, or should not have to sort this stuff... You are doing me a favor by providing this stuff to us. I for one, am not going to be picky about it.
