I mixed 50% WW and 50% pure air cooled and loaded them for 9 and .38. They did fine in the .38 at 650 fps, but were too soft for the faster 1031 fps 9mm. I cast some the other day out of 2 parts ww to 1 part pure and water quenched them for 9 and .38. I havent tried the 50/50 mix in the .45 yet but suspect Ill be ok with them since they wont be going faster than 700fps.

All velocities are from the lyman 49th edition reloading manual and were not the findings from a chronograph.

Myself and quite a few other members are shooting 50/50 out of rifles from medium to high velocities. We think it's one of the best alloy mixes out there. The rifle bullets are either water dropped or oven heat treated. I've been beyond the 1000 fps in pistol calibers with no problems. It's a great alloy for hunting as it will expand and no shear. It's better then just straight WW's.

i would look at doing something different for the 38 and 45.
and the 9/40.
each of my guns likes something slightly different.
358 waterdropped,44 plain ww's 45acp 50-50.
i use a different lube for different applications also.

50/50 water dropped has worked fine for me in 9mm, 44, 45 and 45-70.

not looking for MAX loads in each, just solid medium velocity plinking loads.
