My son just purchased a Springfield XD in 9 mm. I tried the search function but it won't accept the term XD. My question is, do any of the Lee 9mm molds work really well both for function and accuracy? We would prefer Lee only so we can buy a six cavity. If not Lee, then what other mold has worked well for you? Thanks in advance for the help...Ray

The Lee 124 gr RN bullet has worked very well in my M&P, CZ Compact, CW9 and STI Trojan. My XD was a 40sc so I can't help you there but I did shoot many of the Lee 401TL SWC bullets from a 6 cavity mold.

rcbs 120 and 115 round nose bullets have been consistantly the most accurate 9mm bullet ive found

I have a pair of the Lee 125 gr rnl molds, single lube groove design. Works great and sahoots good but if the 124 gr TC with a single lube groove had been in the catalog at the time I would have purchased that instead!

Either of these molds will get it done for practise rounds, If your loading fo SD get the TC mold!

I would agree stick with the RN or TC in the 115-125 grain weight range and you can't go wrong. They work great in my 9mm's.

I have the Tumble Lube 124 TC and it goes thru my XDm just fine. Now if you want to talk about accuracy you need to find sombody who shoots better than me.[smilie=1:

The TC 124 gr design does well in several of my 9mms including a glock 17, SIG P6, hi point C9, Hi point 995 carbine and my old browning high power.

This is the bullet I shoot in my XD 5" Tactical, it is very accurate at 25 yards. Lyman #356402 four cavity mold. I size the bullets to .357, the OAL is 1.115". I had to lap the mold to get the bullets to drop at .3575", but it was worth it. I use 3.2grs of Titegroup or 3.8grs. of Bullseye, both powders worked very well. The key to getting a 9mm to shoot good is the crimp, don't crimp, just remove the bell. Also try to keep the velocity down, under a 1000 FPS.

The Lyman #356637 is a great mold for the 9mm too.

I have never tried the Lee 356-120gr. TC bullet or the Lee TL356-124gr., but I here they are great preformers too.

lee alox does well in everything except the 995 carbine. i have to use a harder wax in that to get good results.

I never tried Alox in the 9mm, I use Alox on my .32's & .38's cowboy bullets. Is liquid Alox dirty in a auto? Is it smokey in an auto? The reason I am asking is, I shoot PPC indoors and I shoot five matches at 48 rounds in a match. I don't have time to clean between matches. The Carnauba Red has done pretty well for me, but I am always looking for something new to try.
