Hello All: Anyone have experience using cast bullets in a 308 X 1 1/2? I have the chance of picking up one of these old wildcats, and would like to get some idea where to start as far as bullets, powder, etc. Thanks, Danth

Go for it Dude!!!

I'm having a 30BR made up strictly for cast. This should be a great cartridge for cast whether 30BR or 308X1.5.

I have studied the results of cast competitions on another forum and 308X1.5 is a strong contender there. Good luck.:drinks:

I have an XP-100 in .30-.223 (necked up and blown out). The boiler room is about the same as .30 Herret, and also the same as the .308x1.5. Equal volumes=equal performance, for all practical purposes. Use .30 Herret loads...

30BR uses the small .060" primer vent hole that requires a smaller than standard diameter decapping pin.

I have one and love it. I used reloader 7 and a 175gn saeco cast bullet shoot great. I use 7mm br cases @ .75 cents each. ouch
