Tight chamber 8x57

Hi Folks

Picked up a nice M48 a while back. Shoots jacketed very well and I'm working on a paper patched load. I measured some fired brass and found the case mouths to measure at .3245 -.325. I find this interesting considering that I had a 24/47 that had brass open up to .328 and a enfield that would open up .318 from .3135. Has any here run across this? I just find it unusual for a milsurp to be so tight.

Yes the 88's I have owned were all tight chamber and one 88 carbine was alomst the same dimensions as my reloading die. The die would only tighten the neck by about 3 thousands. You don't need to neck size and brass lasts a long long time.
