Good morning!
A couple of weeks ago, I received my custom LoneStar Rolling Block from Dave. Measuring the chamber, using a dud round, I was a little surprised. I normally seat my bullets (500gns) to 2.20. I found the chamber to be 2.65; from head end of brass, to bullet engaging rifling.

My question is: isn't this a little long? [smilie=b:

Thanks!

Seems like plenty!? A 50-90 case is 2.5", so the chambers too short for that. I'd give them a call for sure.

Hey, it's a sniggle snot, it'll work. If you are using black, you may have to use extra in order to get a full case. Or use some card wads.

Originally, I'd wanted a 50-90; but Dave talked me out of it. I already had everything for 50-70 anyway. And, knew he was right about the difficulty one would have finding 50-90 brass. Anyway, I was hoping the chamber was long enough to accomodate 50-90 but no go. It's a very accurate rifle so far, using 15gns of TrailBoss with no filler.

About that wad, I use styrofoam in my 45-120s. No melting. Cookie cut 3/4 wads with the brass. The powder never touches the bullet.

Thanks Guys!
