I did a couple searches and ended up with buptkis. My question is about switching between mixes for casting different bullets. I have a Lee pot(small one) with out the bottom pour that has worked really well the couple of times I've used it. But, I have been using a hard lead mix which I got from melting down some already cast bullets. I would like to cast some soft bullets for my muzzle loaders and what not but am not sure how to get the hard stuff out of my pot safely. Is there a trick to it or do I just pour out the pot carefully?

I just had the thought to set it upside down over my container then turn it on until the chunk falls out. Maybe that could work?

i would use the metal in it till it got low and just pick it up and dump it into a bunch of ingot molds.
wearing welders gloves of course.
be a good time to clean it out too.

I remove as much lead as I can with the ladel into ingots or to where it is managable and then pour out the last bit. Since I picked up a larger pot I use the small one for soft lead and larger for the regular WWs.
