Anyone here know of a good place to get a decent range box for the B.P.C rifle shooter? My old one is getting on rough shape after all the banging around it has gone through here moving and all that crap..Thanks,,John

Some real neat ones were sold by Gussy aka Cabin Tree products. His web site says that he is not making any wood products at this time. Look at his site, maybe he has one already made that he would sell. Later David

I splurged for one of the Cal-Graf's, was leary of the $$ but when it arrived I saw that it was well worth it. :drinks:

I went to Home Depot (Lowes has the same stuff) and got some really nice tool/work boxes, complete with removeable tray under the flip top, for around $5. Shop around. Some are cheap trash, some are sturdy and durable. Cheap enough to get one specific for each of your guns.

Yeah 725, a $12 metal skilsaw box with a few foam pads inserted suits me fine.

If you don't need or want a custom box, any of the online retailers such as Midway, Midsouth, Graf's, Gander Mountain or Cabela's has several good range boxes. Another place is good ol' Wally World's fishing gear aisle.

Gerry,

I got this at Lowe's. They call it the "Classic Wooden Toolbox" and it was $20 at the time.

I did the same thing just a week ago--looking for a toobox to dedicate for some stuff I use in setting ceramic tiling. Got one made by Stanley, plastic but durable, with a tray under the flip top. It's 24 inches wide, cost me 16 bucks. I was thinkiing when I bought it that it's a lot like my range box, made by MTM, but at about half the price, and with a useful tote tray at that.

How about the heavy duty plastic range box by Plano Outdoor Products. It has one bottom large compartment and two stacking compartments for smaller stuff. A pair of rifle cradles are stored in the bottom compartment and snap in place to set the rifle on for cleaning. A very nice unit at a very good price, and lightweight also.

It's called the 1816-01 Shooters Case:

Check out Sears. They have a broad range of tool boxes, solid plastic, and some with wheels. Made to carry heavier loads than we will.
