Hello again to all,
Well, I've measured my 45 Colt Ruger Blackhawk barrel, starting at the muzzle I pushed a .457 roundball, (it got easier going the closer I got to the forcing cone).
The "slugged" ball measured .451..., However the cylinder throats measure between .451 and .451+, but not close to .452.
My lyman manual says that WW's will size to .4507 and that #2 alloy will size to .4510 when using the .451 sizing die.

So.., I've heard it said (and read of it in the book) that I will want to size my boolits to .001 larger than my barrel groove.
(see where I'm going with this ?)

Being that my cylinder (s) are going to constrict (swage) my boolits before entering the bore I'm not going to be able to get a boolet that is .4520 (.001 greater than groove dia.) into said bore.

What should I do ?
1) Try it with #2 alloy sized to .451 ?
2) Cut cylinders to .4520, and "then" size with .452 sizing die so that I get a boolit that is the desired .001 greater than bore?
3) Other..?
Thank you, Scott

You want the throats to be the same size or slightly larger than the bore dimension.
You want to size your bullets to same size or slightly larger than the throat dimension.

It sounds to me like you are already in good shape. Size to 452, load up and go shooting.
