I've seen talk about the old paper cutters but what about Rotary Trimmers?

Add paper and a roller and you are GTG.

I tried one of those.
It sucked.
Cutting the strips made the paper start to be angled, it was slow.
I got a traditional paper cutter and did lots in no time.
I am wondering, if the roller shown here might not just do the biggees. Looks like it has room to drop the boolitt in.

It was actually a good one.
The difficulty was, the strip was too short to be stable during the cut.
I went to a guillotine type and it made short work of it.

If not it would be an easy fix.

I use a moderately priced rotary paper trimmer, and I can look up the make & model if you wish.

The one described in the opening post is much fancier than needed. For one thing, you will never acually use the 'preforated cuts' feature.

Mine has a bed made of steel, so I use magnets to lock paper in place while I cut it.
When a cut is set up carefully, locked with magnets, and involves multiple layers of paper...you can cut a lot of very precise strips in a very short time.

Fiskars makes about the only one I like to use I was a guillotine cutter for years until I came across the Fiskars . its ro;ler cutter is a couple inches from the edge giving a platform on both sides ,, the ones with the rollers on the edge are considerable harder to manipulate and do cut at a taper especially towards the end of the sheet . The Fiskars supports the paper on both sides of the cut stopping the roll over. ,....Dean... item 416356 from costco under 30.00
