I cast up some Lyman 457193 bullets (WW'S) and they didn't shoot worth a darn. I've seen better shot gun patterns!! I was loading them at about 750 degrees with a hot mold. I miked them and they were dropping at 456 1/2 to 457. Pretty small and they were nowhere near round.
I had shot these in the past with good results????
ANSWER: I lowered my melt temp to 650 degrees and didn't let my mould get too hot.
RESULT: dropped to 459 and round.
RANGE: One bullet on top of the next.
By the way it was this forum and a lot of searching and reading that got me to think more about my melt temperature.
Thanks guys
Steve
