No Stupid Questions

Now you all promised that there were no stupid questions so I am going to ask.
Does anyone make a .40 S&W rifle?
Was thinking bolt or lever action.
Checked around the web and all I found was a fold up ar15 looking rifle.
I am not into the whole EBR thing so was hoping for a bolt or lever.

Anyone got any ideas?

I believe that Marlin made their Camp Carbine in .40 S&W.

Well, I do have a stupid answer. The only thing with a bore the right size would be a .38-40, using cartridge adapters. The length to the shoulder looks just long enough, and the diameter looks just big enough. Whether it would shoot well with with that much free run until it hit the rifling is a question. The other thing that might work would be to bore out a Marlin 1894C, and use a spacer or weld up the cartridge lifter to compensate for the short round.

All of his stuff I'm describing would be a real labor of love.

have not seen a bolt or a lever but Highpoint makes a cheap rifle same as pistol but on a rifle frame if that makes any sense.
