Dad has a Winchester 62A he bought new in the thirties. Put a Model 70 rear sight on it and loved it for years, then pulled the Model 70 sight off to put on a Model 70 he was trading. Now he needs to find a suitable replacement and hasn't been able to get one through local gun shops in New Mexico/Texas Panhandle area.

Anyone have anything to offer on the subject? He doesn't have to have an original, but really wants the buckhorn type that will fit on his rifle.

I don't know how many 22's he has, but this is the one he wants to use. Can't blame him, its slick, works great, feels good, has killed more rabbits than can be truthfully told and be believed.

Would this be the same type of sight that would be found on winchester lever action rifles? Frank

I'm not 100% positive, but I think so. I remember seeing the sight and it looks simular to the sight on my old Model 94.
