Ok, I finally got to the range and fired some of my BACO 550grn PPB's in a Sharps 45-90 (Italian). Accuracy was good once I got zero'd but I didnt have a lot of time to play. Paper patches blew off at the muzzle, some still 'whiteish' shreds and some black, which I'm guessing is from blow-by or charring. Wouldnt a thought I'd have blow-by with 40:1 alloy wrapped to bore size. Maybe I'm a bit too narrow with the onion skin wrap. Veg wads were found about 20-30 yards downrange, some with the center of the grease cookie still intact. The holes in target were nice and round. I hope to get out again today before The Storm of The Century gets here.:drinks:
Update: pulled the paper off the remaning 550 grn'rs as they were a bit sloppy at .447, not .450, and wrapped up 540 grn BACO (.440's with a slight taper), same pattern patch wrapped those to .450 and they fit nicely.
