Have any of you done this with these:

Was thinking of getting a heavy boolit for a 300 Whisper project that is in the works.

At $84 , I'd think you'd be better off to sell the mold and buy another one ?

Seriously, If you want a professional job done on enlarging a gas check shank, send it to Buckshot.

He'll help you out for a lot less than $84.00

The $84 cost is for the whole set. I have other projects :-D

Was thinking I'd hone out the throats on a couple of revolver cylinders while I was at it.

I'm just not sure how true the base would be if it were just honed out.

What say you, Buckshot? By the way, the .316" H&I die you honed out for me works great!

i use those at work. they will wear quite fast. this is not a tool i would use to hone a hangun cylinder. i actually use them to burnish only, as honing with them is questionable at best.

.............Kevin, those barrel laps are, well ...............laps. They're not really intended to be removing any great (in the scheme of things) amount of metal. They're basically for laping/polishing. If you wanna do revolter throats a reamer is the only way to go and be consistent from one to the next.

Did I do a .316" die for you?
