Hi all, wondering if anybody shoots cast through a pistol cal carbine, preferably a 9mm ar-15. Im concidering a new build that is cheap on ammo and not a .22. Wondering if you have any problems with leading/cyceling ect. And are there extra measures inplace, GC extra hard round ect

I shoot cast bullets through my 9mm AR all of the time with zero problems. These days I shoot mostly Lee 356-120-TC cast with wheel weights quenched in water. I size the .356 and lube with NRA 50/50 Alox. I use between 4.2 and 4.5 gr Unique. The load is extremely accurate and I have no leading problems. With some bullets, both Jacketed and cast you may have to tinker with the OAL to get them to feed. In the past I bought commercial cast rounds and they shot OK, but were not near as accurate as my cast boolits.
