Does the 10mm in a 1911 style use the same frame as the 45?

As far as I can see yes. I once put my 45 top end on my 10mm and shot fine (better trigger on 10mm). My 22 coversion kits worked on both. Hope this helps.

Yes. Dan Wesson sells their Pointman 7 and CBob in both 10mm and .45ACP. I believe the also are selling the Razorback, originally in 10mm in a .45 version (RZ-45).

Kinda, the barrels for 40/10mm are normally ramped and you have to cut out a section of the frame for the ramp. 45 barrels are normally non ramped and use the feed ramp cut into the frame along with the little feed ramp on the barrel. You can also get frames with a 38 super ramp instead of the 45 ramp. I have seen one gun in 40 S&W using a standard barrel and a 38 super frame. All the others I have seen have been ramped barrels.

I was asking because I'm getting the stimulus itch and was thinking of getting a 10mm in a 1911 style (I have a 45) and didn't know if the grip/ mag well would be longer.:drinks:

Besides I have alot of range find 10mm brass so I need a gun for it.

The frames should be the same. I believe the 10mm uses the 9mm/.38 super ejector , which is changeable on the frame. Slides with extractor and rim dimensions in the slide are different.

OAL of the 10mm Auto and 45 ACP rounds are pretty close, so both rounds use the same size frame.
