Can a jacketed bullet of .357 diameter be shot out of a 9MM? Why the different size of bullets for the 9? I think there are .355 also isn't there? Saw swage dies for both yet if I shoot both the 9MM and .357 Mag couldn't I use the same bullet diameter and therfor the same dies not having to buy 2 sets?

Normal jacketed bullet diameters for .357/38 special is .357". For 9mm it's .355". I'd recommend you slug your 9mm barrel before using .357 jacketed bullets. If you're swaging plain lead (no jackets) there's little danger involved. Some 9mm barrels run on the large side, but pushing an oversized jacketed bullet down the barrel can get you into pressure problems quick. Cast boolits are much softer than jacketed bullets, and you can safely use over bore diameters, not so when a jacketed bullet is used.
