Bill

I have had good luck with the Egyptian 7.62X25, it comes on 8 round stripper clips packed 40 to a box. I bought it for my mausers and then found I could not use it so it sat around until I got a CZ.

Thanks. Any source? I see Bulgarian, Polish and Yugo offered.

Not trying to threadjack here.......any reason to not handload this caliber? I've had a lot of fun (and a few cul-de-sacs) with it for over 15 years.

Don't do it. Al got me started on those small 30 cal bores and it's like a disease. Hey, just kidding. Get yourself a Lee mould for the 100 grain round nose 30 cal and some Unique or Win 231 and have some fun. If you would have bought something like Fiochi or Sellier & Bellot you would have reloadable brass, but no matter the brass is readily available for that caliber.

Al,

Not really a big fan of the CZ52, grip angle is odd. More as an emergency
tool to loan to a friend in need when . . . . :holysheep
with a reasonable supply of ammo stored with it. I hear it throws the brass
into the next county, too -not a plus for reloading.

Ultimately, way too many nice S&W revos not getting enough attention, plus
K31 competition, 'new' Krag project, too much business travel, remodeling
a house, . . . . . and stuff ----

Easily understandable, Mtn Gun. I thought retirement would open a new phase of shooting and reloading, taking the hobby to the next level. Yeah, sure! (Chortle, chortle, guffaw, guffaw.......)

Rather than go the route of milsurp ammo, Winchester loads some of their White Box line in 7.62 x 25 Tokarev. This has been excellent ammo, and runs about 1300 FPS from my CZ-52. Accordingly, it is safe for all pistols or carbines/SMGs chambered in 30 Mauser/7.62 Tok. The brass is Boxer-primed and reloads very well. I suspect it might be Sellier & Belloit under contract, but it's good ammo in any event. Pretty affordable, too.

I still buy the old mil sup. My local store has it 72rnds for 12 bucks. Can't beat that. Besides the kids love it. I did come across a ammo box full. I think it was around the 3000 range of rounds and I got it for $50. Only catch was the rounds were rusted in places form sitting to long. At first I cleaned them up and shot them but in the end I just spraied my CZ-52 down with some WD-40 and let it go. it never jammed and as of yet every round has fired.

Winchester ammo is good and is a good source for cases --- My load for that round is Lee 100gr .311 boolit with 6.6 herco and yes you will be looking for those cases and some you wont find good luck with the CZ-52. Tom

The Egyptian stuff I picked up at the local show a while back, it was packed in two 50 cal ammo cans and I wanted it for my 30 cal broom. After I bought it I found out it was bad for it so I never used it. A CZ-52 came along and I picked it up so I could use the ammo. I load my own for the brooms now that I got them back out and started shooting them again. Forgot how much I liked these things so now I am in the market for another one.:-D

Al,

Starting to remodel the new 10 acre retirement place, hoping for all that new
free time when I retire. Don't burst my bubble, please!

Right now I need to get back from a 30 day overseas trip. Zero getting done
at home and it can be hard to get on the net in Siberia! :-D

Will definitely try the Win ammo. Did get the CZ52 9mm Para bbl assy, was a good deal, I can recommend it.
