Data is now avalible on line (cut and pasted below) using trail boss in the 41 mag.

A case full of WC680/AA1680 will do the same and NO chance of double charge.

475/480, same with trail boss. A very bulky powder, only get 9 oz in a 1 pound size can. I think that I read some where that a double charge will either overflow the case or will be at a low enough presure as not to destroy the gun (I will not be trying the latter). I have a can of trail boss but have not loaded with it yet. I have been told that it is very clean burning and there are several threads waxing about its fine accuracy. Odd looking powder, like little flatened cheerios, right down to the color.

Alliant Unique is my favorite "special level" powder in the .41's but no one has accused it of being clean burning. Gotta try a can of that.

I just tried 4.5g Trailboss with a 240g Lee SWC in 41 Mag.

It rocks! This is the first time I have been able to shoot my Blackhawk with any kind of accuracy. It may be due to the reduced recoil as well as the inherent properties of the load, but I was able to ping a propane cylinder off hand from 20 yards producing a big ragged 2-1/2 inch hole in it with about a dozen shots. The 2 misses were clean misses and I'm sure were due to operator error.

In the past I really couldn't reliably hit anything smaller than a paper plate with this revolver, probably because I can't control the recoil but NOW she is a potential target gun.

Look out gophers here I come!
