growing up, i spent more time with my uncle than my own father. he taught me to shoot pistols at age 10, and was a genuis with engines. he also was one of the first to take a deer with a pistol on opening morning the first year pistols were allowed. He served in the Wisconsin National Guard 32nd Division, 127th Infantry Combat Support Company. He was called to Fort Lewis, Wash., during the Berlin Crisis. he was a leader of the Pioneer Boys Group, a part of his parish. He was a member of the John Owen American Legion Post #287. He was employed at Miller Electric for 48 years as a photographer. In addition to photography, he enjoyed hunting, trap shooting and shooting his pistol. He was a handyman and could fix anything. He especially enjoyed riding his John Deere tractor with a pocket full of New York mints.
