Please forgive my ignorance on the subject but although I have been hand loading for pistol many years, rifle cartridges I am relatively new to.
My questions are;
Can I use large rifle primer for a 44 mag load and work up like you would with a magnum primer?
What is the difference between say LR primers vs. LP magnum primer? Is it burn length or just hotter or both?
Has anyone done this and if so were the result good?
The reason for the question is I am about to try and find some LR primers and I am almost out of LP primers. It would be nice to just buy 5000 of one kind right now with the way thing are.
