From grandfather to my six year old. Well, he's one handy fellow what comes to wood working and such. We had that one wooden rifle some time, made by my brother in law. It got the beating several times and finally it was not practical to put it back together again. My son was very sad and of course he talked to his grand father...
Today it was here, brand new combination gun, smooth bore muzzle loader and breech loader in one and the same gun. Two tone stock made of very rare and expensive murly craple, found only occasionally when father in law cleans his scrap wood piles. Manually adjustable two stage trigger and everything.
Two tone stock work, pistol grip and butt plate; finest murly craple:

Best use for copper, two barrel bands for maximum bedding effect to avoid undesired vibrations:

Power system needs some thinking but this slings pretty well already:

Woodlit seated and ready to go:

Here's the woodlits. This woodlit style is for long range plinking, easy hit and miss from any indoor range. I planned already to order flat nose versions for horsefly and other dangerous game hunts. Horsefly and it's kind normally lives in hardest conditions and therefore needs maximum power and shock from the woodlits. Shoulder shots busting both sides is strongly recommended. Granddad's famous SmearSmoothBullets (no dot com yet, sorry) will supply also them in short order:

Now where's the summer and the big flies...
