I have several BPCR rifles in 38-55 and 45-70.
Have been offered a very nice Pedersoli Creedmore #2 and will take it , but I will have to let go of either Browning High Wall Classic , or a Pedersoli Sharps Business rifle.
. Both 45-70. Both good condition and low shot count (under 300 each).

The question is , which should I offload to make room for the Creedmore?

Stupid question - you have a total limit on how many you can own?
If you really want the Creedmore, then honestly think which one of the other two you enjoy more, shoot more, just like more. I couldn't begin to figure out what I would do, really don't know enough about each rifle in question to say which is "better" or not. Welcome to the forum!

Keep the Browning.

Do both shoot well (accuracy wise)? If I rely on one of those for matches, that's the one I'd keep. If both the same, I'd let the Pedersoli go - a very, very, nice rifle yes, but that Browning is just too purty. I would need a bourbon to comfort myself afterward though (maybe two :-D)

Send all of them to me so you’ll have even more room. It’s the least I can do.

Not stupid question . But anyway.
They both shoot well to 500yds.
I like both.
The Pedersoli has a 32" barrel and the Browning has a 30" barrel.
I'll probably never shoot 1000yds.

If I were you, I would work overtime shifts and pay the rent late to acquire them all.

Like the man asked, do you have a limit on how many guns you can own in Australia?

DeepRiver, just take stock of which rifle you shoot the least and make you mind up as you wish. I just sold a Ruger 77 that I didn't shoot very much and I am kicking myself till this day, so like WRideout said, keep 'em all UNLESS... there is a regulation of financial reason. Not a stupid question.

Get a loan, use a credit card, hit up your friends, find a way to own all three. Consider them investments, not expenses.

Sell the one you will miss less and move on.

What a foreign concept. Why do you have to get rid of one?

The stupid police have this mentality that you can't have more than one gun in the same calibre.

Do what I did; get one of the 45/70's rechambered to 45/90, problem solved.

What a silly law. But it makes sense if you want to keep people helpless. I have only one gun in only one caliber…. A .300 Win Mag. If the SHTF, I want redundancy. Three in .308, three in .30/30, five in .223, five in .38/.357, six in 9mm, two in .40S&W, two in .45 ACP, six in .22LR.

Big old bag of beans and another of rice will see you through for a while and is good for you too. You should be able to whack a feral hog to add to the menu with one of those 45-70's.

Chamber one to 45-120 and you'll be shooting at 1000 easily.

"The stupid police have this mentality that you can't have more than one gun in the same calibre."

I'll bet that solved a lot of crime. They must have conferred with Joe Biden on that one.

My Daddy advised me to " Never sell a gun you like , you will come to regret it . "
And the old man was right ... if you don't like one , sell it ...if you like them all ... make room for another gun and keep them all .

They are single shot black powder rifles ... not automatic assault rifles ... some laws need to be amended and Americans need to watch who they vote into office or we will be in the same boat as the Aussies !

Nothing to do with police , just don't need multiple guns in the same calibre.

Whenever I bought a firearm, it was never about need.

Whenever I bought a firearm, it was never about need.

Well the first one is needed. Anything multiplied by zero is zero. So a person needs to get one so they can begin multiplying!

I agree with the caliber issue. For me I'd pass on the rolling block as I've never liked the look of them. I love the high wall's and Borchardt's.

No limit in the state where I live. I simply don't have a need for multitudes of guns.
I live simply.

Good thinking. No need for us Yanks to criticize another country as we have some pretty daffy regulations ourselves.

Could you afford to buy the rifle and then compare the two and see what rifle you actually like better

The stupid police have this mentality that you can't have more than one gun in the same calibre.

Declare the lighter of the 45-70's to actually be a 45-55. There's plenty of documentation, even from the US Army. that they are considered to be two different cartridges.
