I saved these from being thrown away.
All rusty, stuck, missing parts.
1) Bair press. Hopefully 12ga
2) Bair label
3) Lyman dies. 9mm, 303 Brit, .223 empty box.
4) Looks like a Lyman Spar T. Died stuck and rusty. I think they are the .223 dies
5) Lyman measure. Missing the metering drum. .223 cases. 45-70 cases.
Going to clean them up and decide what I'm going to do with them.
Anyone know what model the Bair press is????

I know nothing of a Blair press but, have a Lyman just like the one on the picture. And thought it would be great to set up 223 dies where i make a single load for several rifles, it would keep the dies set right. But the rock chucker is set up on my bench and the Lyman would have to go in the barn, and it would look just like that one very soon. Have not used it yet but I keep trying to find a purpose for it.

I have a 20ga I got in 1971. It was called a Honey Bair. Not sure on a 12 ga.

Thinking it's a good chance to make a thread on "how to clean rusty dies".
I've done it a few times before, but none this bad.
If it cleans them as good as the others, I'm sure members would be interested.

Looks like you got yourself a project or two…make sure you post some “after” pics when you’re done with the resto!

If my daughter was still at Kaneohe, I'd send her over to talk you out of that Spar T.
(U.S Marines can be very persuasive.....)

Long soak's in " Ed's Red Bore Solvent" and / or
Ed's Red Super Penetrating Oil ... a 50-50 mix of Acetone & ATF ( Automatic Transmission Fluid - conventional , not synthetic ) .

Long soaking is the secrete ... don't rush the soak !

You can do it !
