Was going to try and get some garden planted later on but it is snowing again with *35 windchill. The woodstove feels good tho.
Still light a fire every morning except 2 days last week. Probly leave it burn all night again as its supposed to get cold tonight.

Hopefully we are done here at 1700’ in Central NYS. The latest I remember was 4 or 5” on Mother’s Day back in the 90’s.

I woke up to 7" of wet heavy snow this morning. Sounds like it varies from 1"-24" within an hour drive or so.
I love it.

Same thing in Madison Alabama , think it was 1992 though it could have been 1993. I had a picture of a Ford F150 with snow drifted up to the side mirrors . One side of my yard had a dusting and the rest of the yard had 12" and over. It was so cold and windy that the snow was dry enough that it all blew off of the one side , kind of a wind tunnel effect on that side.

Reloader28 that is exactly the reason I live in Florida.

I wish we got consistent snow here in Washington. I absolutely love it and I drive a lifted Jeep so it doesn't even slow me down. Now if everybody else on the road would learn their limits and stay home, things would be even better.

I sure wish we could experience Winter and a real Spring here the way we used to. It's already to the point that you sweat like a mule as soon as you step outside and it will stay that way until the week before Thanksgiving.

We had about 4 " on the ground by 10:00 AM. About as wet and heavy a snow as we have had in the past 3-4 years.

Went from 86 to 46 over night. Got all the doors and windows open as today is said to be 80. Free AC.

I am not sure what I wish for. I will settle with whatever kills the dang black flies. Its a bad year over here. My garden is half in and I am a week early. Thinking I might like NW Wyoming.

Must be global warming causing all that snow.

Here, it was 85-ish and very dry. Perfect weather.

Looking at hitting high of 90F this weekend here in SC. The season of sweat has begun.
But as much as I hate heat and humidity, I hate ice and snow even more.
Having to spend 1 year in upstate NY taught me that.

You can just keep that nasty stuff where you are. Supposed to be almost 80 today. I need the heat to be able to move.

I happily traded "the air hurts my face" for "everything wants to kill you" a few years ago. I'm still loving it.

I subscribe to the theory that I can always put more clothes on, but can only take so many off.
My thermoneutral zone definitely doesn't include anything over 70°F

Sent from my Pixel 5 using TapatalkI subscribed to exactly that theory for decades. I submit that you actually CAN get more naked than naked. If you are in doubt, next time you're naked, lace on a pair of boots. They must be fully laced, so you can't quickly rip them off. I promise you will feel and be the most naked you have ever felt or been.

Edit: This does not provide any relief from the heat oppression in any way. It just makes you feel better about wearing clothes when it's hot out.

Forecast 100F for Sunday.
Dewpoint 18F

I powerwashed the cobwebs off the antique wooden wheelbarrow, was dry in 20 minutes.
96 in the shade with a breeze is nice, phooey on snow.

Right!

If the dog is panting, I’m somewhere too hot.
