Thought you folks might like to see the first attempts of this and a few other molds. Got a chance to blast a few today and here are the results.

First is the recent 380-225-GC version group buy honchoed by Boomer Mikey. The boolit is range scrap water quenched with a Gator check sized to .379" with my own WWVA lube. It sat atop 10 grains Unique with a WLR primer in reformed 30-30 brass from my H&H Target Classic 38-55 with OAL of 2.417".

Next is aother quenched range scrap boolit in the Saeco #352 mold with WWVA lube and a Gator check. Sized at .3585" and fired over 14 grains Unique and WLR primer in my Ruger M77 Hawkeye 35 Whelen. OAL is set at 3.004" Strangely enough, the mold casts undersize, dropping these at .356"-.358". It has been returned to Saeco to see if they can open it just a bit.

Finally is the Ranch Dog .359 mold from the 35 Whelen. This boolit is 50:50 WW/pure quenched atop 13 grains Unique and WLR with my WWVA lube and a Gator check sized at .3585" OAL for this is 2.911". I believe I posted this before, but what the heck, it still looks good.

All groups are center to center, shot at 50 yards, and are 5 shots with the exception of the 380 group which is 6 shots. The Ruger wears a Weaver 4X and the H&R has a Weaver 2 1/2X.

Not too bad for off the hood of a truck.

Addition made today 2/26/09. The last photo is with the same 380-225-GC boolit and a beeswax based lube over 23 grains of H-4198 and the same WLR primer in formed 30-30 brass. The bottom hole is the first fouling shot followed by 5 more in the group. Measurements reflect the inclusion of the fouler in the group and the exclusion as well. Group measured center to center and was shot at 60 yards. No idea of velocity from the 26" barrel, but 240 grains of wide flat-nosed boolit at 1400fps will do for what ails me around here. Needless to say, I'm happy with this boolit.
