Lyman made the mold, so ingots could have been made by anybody.

Try to find out the alloy-content, or original source of the lead before it was smelted into ingots.

.25/lb is a great price, long as it isn't too hard, or have contaminants (zinc) in it.

Probably just cast in a Lyman ingot mold.

Do a Google search for Lyman ingot mold and you should see a few pictures.

If you can hardness test it, it may be of use, but it could be anything from virgin pure lead, to straight zinc. Or somewhere between.

Reliable source?

It was made in a lyman mold. .25 cents a pound you better jump all over that. If you don't want it tell me and I will buy it.

It is anyones guess on what it is, however hard lead alloy is not a bad thing. I would buy it and try it, if it doesn't work for you, then just box it up in two flat rate boxes and sell it on here or ebay. You won't lose any money on it.
