I have a CZ 527 in .223 with a 1:12 twist barrel. It shoots one-hole groups at 100 yards all day long with 40 grain V-Max and 52 grain hollowpoints. But today, I tried out some loads with linotype RCBS 22-55-SP and 6.8 to 8.2 grains of Unique in .2 grain increments. Accuracy was disappointing with most groups being 3" or more.
I knew not to expect the same level of accuracy as the jacket bullet loads, but really not sure what constitutes an "accurate" cast boolit load. I think that I should be able to get a 1-2" group at 100 yards, but this being my first experience with cast rifle loads, wanted to see what more experienced folks are getting. Thanks.
