I am wanting a drop in replacement barrel for my CVA flint lock with a hooked breach.

either .32 or .36 cal. pitched for conicals prefered but round ball is ok too.

Any leads welcome, I will post a companion post on WTB but I am expecting nobody has one they would part with but might know some place that can provide one.

Do you have a barrel for your rifle right now.
If so , what caliber is is , and what condition is it in?
You can always send a used barrel to Bobby Hoyt and have it refined to the caliber you want and the rifling twist you want to be compatable with the load and boolits you want to shoot.

I have a barrel, it is 50 cal. I want to keep it and just have a smaller bore barrel to swap when I am wanting to shoot a smaller ball.

I have done that also so I can use one rifle in two calibers.
But the relineing of a barrel you can find , saves you from trying to find a second barrel in the caliber you want .or barrels with super good bores in that caliber.

Isn't a reline going to cost as much as two barrels, the barrel to be reworked and the liner plus labor for the rework?

Just call Hoyt and ask what the costs will be.
I buy many used rifles with poor bores.
I found it is cheaper to send the barrel to Hoyt and have it rebored or refined then it is to buy a barrel with a like new bore.
Right now I have two more Renegade barrels that I am going to send him.
Plus it may be hard to find a good .36 or .32 barrel for your rifle at a good price.
Start with a phone call to Hoyt.
Then you can think of your options.
You can probably buy a used rifle just like yours ,with a poor bore for far less than just buying a
Barrel with a good bore.

Yep, brand new guns cost less than a new replacement barrel.
