Helping clean out a storage.
Have these molds that don't have much markings on them, and two that are Cramers, but can't find any info on them.
Looking for maker, caliber, weight, value.
I'll start with the Cramers.

#4 & 5 = a Thompson Center Maxi-ball. None of my TC molds have the TC name. I believe the .54 was 420 gr. (could be wrong) & the .50 was 370 gr. (pretty sure that is correct).
My .50 cal. has #906 on each half & is anodized a dull plum color.
My .54 cal. has #357 on each half & is anodized a dull gold.

Their numbering system apparently had nothing to do with size.

I can't help you with the others.
Henry

Corrected to #4 &5

Thanks for the link.
I had it before, but it's gone now.
Glad to have it again.

Looks like 4 and 5 are TC molds.
I'll check their site
Thank you

That “SB” mould with the lazy “S” was made by Steve Brooks. That’s his trademark.

The aluminum one in Picture #6 is likely a Rapine mould.

Thanks to all, I think I've got them all.
Now I just need to find out what the value of them is.
Probably buy them, but don't want to pay to little, or to much, for them.

The Steve Brooks looks like the 1881 Armory Bullet.
I do have a Trapdoor Rifle.

The aluminum one in Picture #6 is likely a Rapine mould.

#6 looks like the "trash can" mold, but different numbers stamped on it.
The top doesn't have the step to it.
I wonder if someone "modified" it????
But how would that explain the numbers stamped on it????
Were these molds stamped at all?????

The Rapine moulds I have are stamped with a number that is a combination of the nominal diameter and the nominal weight, like your example. A couple are in their original boxes, otherwise I wouldn’t know who had made them. All came complete with handles, as far as I know.

#5 is a TC anodized aluminum Maxi-Ball Hunter mould, which is quite rare. #6 could be a Shiloh product judging by the hollow base arrangement. Btw, Shiloh moulds also came with handles.

So this is what I got, so far.
Any corrections are welcome.
#1......Cramer #49A.......311di..........170gr
#2......Cramer #65A.......225di..........?????.......Hornet
#3......Steven Brooks......45cal..........450 to 600gr.....1881 Armor
#4......Thompson Center.. 45cal.........Maxi Hunter
#5......Thompson Center.. 45cal.........Maxi Ball
#6......Rapine???, Shiloh????.. 576di.......500gr
Now just need values for them.

A second look convinces me that #4 & #5 are TC .54 cal.
#4 by appearance of the cavity & #5 by stamping on the mold.

Sorry for my poor pictures.
Can never get the hang of taking pictures.
Both molds are stamped 54 cal.
