Hi,
I was always interested in these bullets but never had a starting load point.
I reached out to them and asked for starting load data but was told there are a lot of people using them, so the data is out there.
As of yet, I haven't found any.
Im not looking for high level loads.
I know Chris Costas runs a 500 gr load at 1350 ish, Im not looking for that fast, more in the 1150 ish
I was hoping to use h4198.
I was hoping someone with quick load data or actual data might have some suggestions.
Below is the data on the bullet
https://www.mattsbullets.com/500-Grain-Round-Flat-Gas-Check-458_p_128.html
This bullet is 1.242 inches long and .400 from the crimp groove to the nose. It was designed to function in a lever action.
These are not standard 500 gr bullets so sending standard load data for regular 500 gr bullets I dont think would work as a starting load
Thanks in advance
