Got a new Marlin 44 lever gun and Im hoping to find a load for a cast 300 gr GC bullet. I beleive the twist is 20-1. Thanks Mike

From the Lyman Cast Bullet Handbook 4th Edition
For the Lyman #429650 (300gr) boolit
Primers: CCI 300 &350
Maximum COAL 1.1610 although you may need to go a bit shorter to get it to feed properly. If you do have to go shorter, start the powder charge at the Start grains amount, checking for pressure signs before increasing powder charge.

This data is from the handgun section of this manual. Velocities from your carbine will be higher.
I strongly recommend getting then reading this manual. It contains a lot more information than just load data.

Thank you, I'll be looking to pick up a copy. If anyone else has information I'm the new Marlin leverguns I'd be curious to hear about it.
