weaver v8

does anyone know why the weaver v8 won't change power settings? you can move it a 32nd or so and it seems to hit something. I have 2 of them that are stuck, so unless I am just unusually lucky, it must have been a problem. anybody know anything about this problem? flounderman

Are they mounted on a rifle or free?

I'm thinking they may be bent in misaligned mounts. or the dials are up against the rings.

the back mount slides on a v8. it is inside the scope. you can turn it a little each way and it seems to hit something. I was hoping someone had this problem and could explain what it was to me. Daryl

I have an old V8 and it sort of hangs up once in a while like you described. I just work it a little and it has always gone ahead and moved like it was supposed to. There is not much to grab hold of on them. No knurled surface or anything. My scope has the variable ring tightened to the optical lense and the whole thing turns. Mine also has the square target cross hairs with three vertical and three horizontal lines.
