How do I get email notifications when I receive a PM or a reply to something I post?

On your login at the top right of a page, click it.
On the drop down, go to 'user CP (control panel)
go down towards the bottom under 'My account' and see 'General settings' in it.
You can turn on your notifications towards the bottom of that where it lists Private messageing.

Thank you! Now, is there any way to get notified if someone responds to something I post?

I'm not real sure, but I don't think so.
However;
There is a provision on the gray bar at the top of a thread in a section called 'thread tools' to suscribe to a thread.
You can check from clicking on your log in up in the right corner, and go to your control panel.
New posts on the thread will show up where it says 'subscriptions'.
