I have a question about Dillon powder funnel numbers. I have a 1980s vintage powder funnel for 30.06/308. No numbers or letters stamped on them but I know it is a 450-44-B. That part number no longer exists and the current part number is 13587-B.

Does anyone know if they are the same dimensions? More specifically will my old powder funnels work with the automatic powder measure system?

I would think it will work. The 30-06/308 powder funnel just has a recess that matches the case neck diameter and contacts the case mouth to activate the powder measure.

If the diameter is ~ .555" it will fit into a new powder die. That die will be threaded so you can adjust the measure up/down for a complete stroke of the measure but not cause a hard stop, as you are activating with he mouth of the case.

Best bet would be to call Dillon. They are very helpful folks.

not to get carried away, but....are the dimensions basically unchanged for all 450 to 550 powder funnels?

oley55,
Most of the handgun funnels were lengthened .250-.400". The automatic powder measure requires a longer stroke to activate than the shorter funnels could provide. The 22 funnels were consolidated into the longer A funnel, suitable for cases from 22 Hornet through 220 Swift. 30 caliber cases shorter than 308 Winchester now use the AK funnel, examples are 300 Savage and 300 Blackout.
