Uncle Grinch

I recently got a new Lyman dipper for Christmas so I can work on improving my 360 grain .416 boolits. The first thing I noticed was how small the handle was. I mean the hole thing was only10 inches. The wooden part was only 3 1/2 inches and the rod was barely 6 inches. My hand swallowed up the handle!
Now I'm not a great big guy, but I decided this needed improvement. So I found a puiece of quarter inch threaded rod (1/4 x 20) and tried it. NO go... the dipper is metric! So I did what any red blooded American would do.. I drilled it out and rethreaded it. Then I found a spindle off an old chair and after a few cuts, I had a new handle.
It sure looks better now. Hope this helps my big boolits.....
