Jason, the 321-155 is generally the preferred mould for the 7.62x39. We recently had a group buy on a 6-holer in this design and there might even be a few of them left. In any event, I'll bet someone will volunteer to send you some samples for trial.. I'd step up bu I'm heading to warmer climates for a week and won't have any time to cast until the second weekend in Febuary. It also works well in the 7.62x54.

For the .32 Special, unless you consider 8mm moulds (which are not FN) or custom moulds you really only have two moulds in current production...and of those, there really is only one choice.

Lyman makes the 319247 (which Lyman says drops at .322 in spite of the mould number). Although it is a flat nose, it is a plain base bullet. So, no hope of loading the .32 Special to full potential with this one. Its essentially a .32-40 bullet. Lyman did make several excellent moulds in the past (notably the 321297), but they are out of production and your best hope on them would be E-Bay.

The only commercial mould worth considering is the RCBS 32-170-FN...but that is not all bad. This is an excellent gas-checked, flat-nose bullet. The RCBS is a top notch mould that drops one of the best bullets designed for the .32...accurate, able to be driven hard, and an excellent performer on game.

JBxxxx: darn tuff to improve on the RCBS 32-170 FN: unless the quality level is slipping badly as some have reported with other of their moulds. Saeco has two fine 32/40 labeled moulds,#'s 632 &732.,both plain base, that have worked well in midrange app's for me, and their # 081, a GC labeled for the 8mm's, is a good 'un if sized right. Of course, that's at most for two shooter use, unless you dress down the tip a tad.. do not pass those by if you see one priced right.. I'm intending to try the "Bullshop & Donaldson"method of base protection on those PB styles when I find a couple of roundtuits.. Onceabull

Jason,
Noticed this on ebay... RCBS 32-170 mold for sale. May be of interest. First preference is Saeco, then RCBS, then Lyman... Lyman 311284 suits well in kids's 7.62x54 Russian.
