Junior's still here, he posted in the Postmaster thread above.

He's probably taken a lot of "stick" since November but he is still hanging in here and good on him.

I agree to the good on him comment.
It is good to have differing viewpoints. My Grandfather told me when I was young that one type of steel will sharpen another type of steel.

While I may not agree with Mr. Junior, I do respect him greatly for sticking to his guns.:drinks:

I've been spending my time going to doctors & hospitals and taking tests, re-tests, and more tests. My colon and bladder have somehow become connected. I have fecal matter in my urine, which makes for an ongoing Urinary Tract Infection. This started January 2 with a fast trip to the ER because of copious blood in my urine. Turned out the blood was due to a UTI and the UTI was due to the fecal matter. I'm facing both colon and bladder surgery at the same time, and my urologist calls the colon surgery "tricky." Tomorrow, I have an appointment with surgeons who will give me the lowdown on how they plan to fix me.

Junior, you have what they call a fistula. I had them, and they are the body's mechanism to make the colon grow different routes for crapola escape. The reason is debated among medical pros, but always there is a complicated sore somewhere within the colon track. That is the tricky part, for the most part. Finding that sore, that which makes the fistula generate, takes mucho' time on the table. The problem to you, not to the surgeon, is the time on the table with hard drugs which can mess you up long term, like for the rest of your life. The most important thing you can do is select the druggist with the most experience in the entire area to be with you during the entire operation. Don't ask me how I know. One of my fistulas came out of my belly button. If you think what you have is bad, consider a girl with crapola coming out of her vagina. ... felix

Felix, my daughter is a nurse, and she told me fistulas sometimes happen to women after childbirth. The main discomfort I suffer is colon gas in my bladder, called pneumaturia. I'm up every hour at night thinking I need to urinate. Then I release a tablespoon of urine and half a cubic foot of gas. Due to the embarrassment of the noise, I won't use a public urinal if some other guy is in the men's room. I'd never heard of a fistula until I got one.

Hang in there Junior. I had colon surgery year ago January and couldn't wait to get out of the hospital after I 'woke' up. Nothing quite as complicated as you. Keep a positive mental attitude. Just remember, the quicker you get over it the quicker you get back to camp!

Best of luck Junior! I had a UTI after passing a kidney stone at work. Not a fun deal. I can't imagine dealing with what you've got.

Hope all goes well and you're back to casting and shooting in no time!

Hope it goes well. My sister had a swollen stomach due to a blocked intestine but the doctor did no tests and sent her home with aspirin. The next day she wound up in the emergency room and then an induced coma for ten days after they removed half of her internals. That was three years ago and she's as ornery as ever.

Junior I had three fistulas repaired two years ago. Mine had gotten so bad that it almost killed me. When I finally went under the knife they ended up removing three sections of colon and one section of small bowel. Mine was complicated by diverticulitis. It caused an infection in my intestines, bladder, prostate and kidneys. It has been two years and I am still weak. Please get this looked at before it escalates. It may be completely different, but I wouldn't take any chances. Jim

Agree 1000%

Don't matter if any of us agree with him on anything. As an American, it's his right. As a veteran, he earned that right. I learn a lot about boolits and the mystical magic associated with pouring, sizing, lubing and shooting the blessed things from Junior--he's one of the ones that got me trying out the Lee push-through sizers long time ago.

Good docs will take care of you, Junior, and so will the good Lord as He likes his standup, straight-shooters. Add my daily prayers and best wishes to those already going out for you.
