I realize this isn't a group buy mold, but figured I'd share my results anyway.
The rifle is a M1893 Turk Mauser, barrel cut to 18.5", with a Lyman 57 rear, and a small Marbles white dot out front. The barrel is OK, but far from perfect. Rifle weight is 6 pounds and change.
This is my first attempt at cast with this rifle, and this bullet.
Alloy 1/2 lino, 1/2 wheel weights, water dropped, hard as rocks.
Lubed with BAC, sized to .325", nose dropped at .319"
Loaded to 3.00", "Super Speed" brass. CCI 200 primers, gator check
43 grains of DATA 86, unremarkable, 3" groups at 50 yards
45 grains DATA 86, one hole groups at 50 yards, 2" groups at 100 yards, one line of adjustment on rear sight had them all on a 12" 200 yard gong.
47 grains Data 86 just barely stayed on the paper at 100 yards.
Feed was perfect, no leading.
The odd thing about it was that this same 45 grain load Keyholes in the two other rifles I tried it in.
Recoil is harsh, it was to cold to bring the camera and Chronograph along.
