Getting ready to do a big batch De Prime and Resize with the Lee Hand Press and RCBS case slick mix it all together in this plastic bin. I'm going to be emptying out the primer catch many many times -there's at least a thousand pieces in this batch.https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20240109/a0636b112db2db2299e60c0e814c30b0.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20240109/6980d94d78243825adab2a43ec00b7b5.jpg

Any project worth doing is the perfect reason to buy more power tools.
This may be the best reason I've ever seen for why you 'need' to get a high end progressive.

You might want to weigh them for a quick count.
As I recall, 1,000 .38s weigh right at 10 pounds.

Picking up once fired brass is a delight for reloaders. You might as well play the song on The Good, Bad, and the Ugly: Ecstasy of Gold while retrieving free shiny brass that glitters in the light.

I’ve deprimed that and more with the Franklin Armory tool, it wasn’t fun, but depriming and sizing that many with a Lee hand press sounds brutal. I wonder if you’ll be using the same press to reload them all, again, brutal. Good looking brass!

What a pleasing to the eye cache of brass! It might be the lighting or camera angle, but it looks to me as there may be a tad of crud in a few cases; if so, when I find these I chuck a brass brush in a cordless drill and do a quick in and out of each case. It is amazing to see the quantity brushed out even after an assortment of brass of much less quantity than you have!
Best wishes.... I have a Redding Boss press with a Redding Universal deprime die in it just for tasks just as you are facing!

Very nice! They will look even better when you get them loaded. Nothing like a large pile of shiny brass.

Decapped and resized approximately 25% of the pile last night.

When I was a kid, had more stamina then money, I once worked for a guy clearing brush by hand on his lot. Worked about a half day, and he paid me in reloaded 38 Specials, I even had to give the brass back, just as well as i did not reload then. Anyway was like I was paid in gold, I could not have been happier! Those were the days. Went away from the 38 for years but now I am back.

Hey Winger Ed what do you know about the Dillon reloading machines?

I know they are blue, have a cult following, and are rather expensive. That's about it.:bigsmyl2:

I'm a Hornady AP progressive guy.
I had a Pro-Jecter back in the 80s-90s, sold/placed my stuff and got out of reloading for awhile.
A few years ago, I got back into it, and got the new LNL AP.
The LNL feature is a solution for a problem I don't have, so I JB welded all the bushings into it.

What a beautiful thing. What are you loading in all those little gem? I LOVE the Lee 105 SWC and 2.5g of Bullseye. Lubed with 50/50 and sized to .358. Little lasers. Hands down my fun at the range round. Cheers brother.
