I have a Model 1 Sales AR15 Upper with what they say is a .938 diameter barrel
I need to confirm that
Shoots Great
But it has a low profile gas block on it

I would like to get a adjustable gas block
I have a brass catcher , but sometimes brass still gets crushed by the bolt
I would like to turn off the gas when I am hunting on a dike as I normally only need 1 shot
When I don't use a brass catcher as I am loosing brass in the water

2 Questions
I did a quick search and see .936 and .937 barrel dia adjustable gas blocks
If my barrel is .938 would these gas blocks still fit ?

In the quick search I saw prices from less that $70 to several hundred
Witch adjustable gas block is both good quality and a decent price ?

Thanks
John

I have used several, Odin comes to mind . I can’t see how there could be much difference in the expensive ones versus the cheaper ones. I have never had any problems with any I have used.

If I planned to be constantly switching between closed and open, I would explore the Strike Industries collar adjustable block. Seems like it would be a lot easier to keep track of than counting clicks on a "standard” impingement screw type block.

There is one adjustable gas block that uses a plate that has an unsuppressed orifice, suppressed orifice, and an off position. I found it interesting, but did not pursue it further or follow up with reviews.

I, also, would find something that had a simpler on/off capability than counting clicks.
