Two simple questions.

1. is it possible to upgrade the ram to use the fancier primer inserter that Lee Classic Cast press uses?

2. Is there a better "ram press" mounted system for primers?

Ive been using the lee ram prime, both versions, and they both suck in unique ways.. the older one you have to deal with swapping the spring between the large and small primer post depending on what you want and the metal post need a whack with a screw driver to fully seat.

The new lee system is NICE but if the spring is damaged there is no visible way to replace it.. and the new cartridge holder is so poorly made and out of something flimsy that feels like plastic..

Have you tried the aluminum breech lock ram prime in the Lee hand press?

Itv works very consistently for me, all my primers seat fully to bottom out the prime pocket slightly below flush. It is really slow.

the current version, the part that holds the case is so poorly done its not funny. on mine it can flip the primers as the go in

I had one wear out with regular use. The cup got bent and was leaving half moon marks on primers. I got the replacement from titan reloading.

The Ram might be compatible with their C press.

Maybe try a dedicated hand primer tool. I used the Frankford arsenal hand primer and it lasted several tens of thousands of rounds before it broke.
