What type of gun are you using? AR platform or bolt action.

I have very good luck with that mold in several ARs.

Subsonic loads will be used in a AR.

Then the bullet mold posted would serve you well. It is also available as a hollow point if desired. My favorite rifle for it is a 7.5 inch AR suppressed. I use 10.2 grains of 1680 at an OAL of 57mm. That OAL was provided by another member using the metric system, but it works and is easy to set so why mess with it. Fits in the mags, feeds reliably, cycles and locks back the bolt.

I use the Lee TL309-230-5R powder coated typically with CFE Black or W296. Powder charges are your job to figure. Will also factor on your barrel length I shoot a 10.5"

Hello everyone:

Thanks for taking time out during this busy
season to reply to my post.
I have 1680 and will be giving this a try.

I have actually been looking at this question myself over the last day or two after a discussion with a buddy who has a rifle in 300aac. If you're using a bolt gun, something I looked at in Gordon's Reloading Tool is the C312-155-2R over about 6gr of Unique. This wouldn't be enough to function an AR. But if your application is a bolt gun it should keep it in the 1100fps range.

I have a 245gr bullet from Accurate Molds that works great for subs in our AR's.

I use the PB version of the 225-gr "Taco" bullet made by NOE with 11.3gr CFE BLK:

The 300BLK Taco Bullet Mold aka “300BLK Bullet Mold for Dummies” Is Finished! (https://www.thereloadersnetwork.com/2018/11/27/the-300blk-taco-bullet-mold-aka-300blk-bullet-mold-for-dummies-is-finished/)

I have had ta buy sell and trade ta find a couple good ones.

The LEE 312-1552r has been better then passable since the start.

The Lyman 311284 took three molds ta find one with a small nose.

Last year, I bought a NOE 247g and WOW! Its been astounding. 4198 powder @ 1025 fps. Its been THE most accurate bullet in my Ruger Bolt.

I also bought a NOE 310-178 RF that drops a 165 deep HP and that one really shoots well @ 1250 ish. FPS.

I dont shoot suppressed.. yet.
