"The Fouling Shot" is the official publication of the Cast Bullet Assn- https://forum.castbulletassoc.org/

"Cast Bullets" is an NRA publication, they have a number of such items available. I believe the Cast Bullets book is out of print anymore, but you might check with them.

I love those old magazines. A member here sent me some old (1960s and 70s) Handloader magazines. One of them had an article on a brand-new black powder substitute named Pyrodex.

Reading old casting/reloading/shooting/hunting magazines is great. The only problem with those is the adds. Wow, just wow! Back in the day you could buy rifles and pistols for the price of a cheeseburger and fries. Ammo cost whatever change you have in your pocket. Reloading supplies were plentiful and cost about as much as a tube of toothpaste. Everybody watched westerns, dressed like a cowboy, and every kid above the age of six was required to go hunting and fishing. There were deer, bears, and trout everywhere: forests and streams where there's now a parking lot or a quickymart. Those were golden days my friend. Wish we had a time machine.

I've been a member/subscriber for a few years, and even me-who-wins-nothing got a gorgeous MP mould. Every issue generally has an article by C E Harris which is more than worth the cost of subscription. Vis a friend of his in Italy (Georgio) I even got a magazine for a Beretta pistol unavailable (at the time, at least) on this side of the pond.
WELL worth the subscription, imho!!!!!!

Good find! I was going through some of the topics from the old original Shooters Cast Bullet board I printed out over twenty years ago. LOTS of stuff that hasn't been covered on this board, or lightly touched on. One of these days, you are likely to find a box full of this stuff on your doorstep!

I guess I’m showing my age, but I don’t think of things from the 90’s as old. Good score though. You have some fun reading to look forward to.

The Cast Bullet book is a wealth of solidly researched info that has served me well since I purchased it when it first published. Most of the info was originally published the American Rifleman back in the 50's, compare that to what fills the pages in it today makes you realize how far it has gone down hill.
