I picked up a couple boxes of these bullets as the price was to good to pass up. I plan on using these in my S&W M10. Is anyone here using this bullet in their .38SPL with good results? The other thing I noticed is that these are supposed to weigh 158gr. The ones I have are 165gr will this be a problem when using published data from the Lyman handbook. I will be using Unique powder with this bullet. Thanks for the help.

I doubt an additional 7 grains of boolit weight will even be noticed. Especially in a strong gun like the Model 10. Unique works great in the .38, I have shot many pounds of it through my Model 10.

I'm starting to load a batch of .38 spl for use in my .357. In the past I used 5.5 gr of Unique under 358477 ( I now see that it is considered a "hot " load) and was wondering what charge wt. you were using in you .38 spl loads. TIA Stan

i cast the lee version flat based(358665 is most coppied boolit of all time i think)mine drop at 160gr & dressed with lars CR 165grs.
i put 3.7 gr clays under it & can chase cans ,clods& clumps of grass way on out thar , how far ??? don`t know , don`t care , it shoots where i point it .
my favorite rising is the 358429 boolit ,but don`t see no advantage except weight.
