I bought this back in the 80's and used it to shoot Silhouette pretty regularly. Pulled it out of the safe yesterday and took it to the range today. Still shoots great!

I have a blue and stainless Mark 11. No problems ever.

never did get the "fancy" one but years ago picked up a stainless target model 22-45, same era as the mark II and its always been very accurate and reliable. its one of my go to guns when critters start causing problems around the property.

I have two MK II, a Hunter with a 10" barrel and scope and another with a shorter slab sided barrel with iron sights. Both have Volquartson trigger kits. I could not want better .22 pistols. They are both awesome shooters.

I just bought a MK IV with the new take down feature and it is the cat's meow. This is my 3rd one and they all start out with a scope to see what they like. Heck, they like everything you stuff in them. You can spend more but you can't buy a better 22 pistol. I got mine-a 5.5" target- for $440 delivereded on GoingBroker.

My MKIV has a rough and hard trigger pull also.
A local gunsmith says that he will smooth it up and take it down to 3* for $40.

Right away, I had installed a Volquartsen Accuracy Kit in my new MkIV 22/45 Tactical. Trigger feels like a M41 Smith.

I don't have a MarkII but I have a standard model which I bought back in 1965 for $39.00...I take it out to the range every couple of months...still shoots great. Ruger made a nice pistol!

I have a Mark III heavy barrel that I got about 2012 or so? I love it. Makes even me look like I know what I'm doing with a handgun. Easiest handgun to hit with I have ever fired.

I tried polishing on mine, it didn't really do much. As most all these parts are cast, and cleanup is minimal, some can be stoned and polished to improve a lot. You tube for instructions.

I had a 22/45 MKII for a few years. While mine was 4" regular barrel with standard sights, it was very accurate. I used to pack it around with me quite a bit on the farm, plinking stuff. It was near perfect for reliablity.

I have 3 MK I T Rugers, 2 6 7/8" and 1 5 1/2" bull barrel. All three are very accurate and reliable with just about any ammo.

Seems like a lot of people view the mk3 as the redheaded stepchild. The LCI and mag disconnect are easily disabled for free. Then you get a mag release button and optics rail over the mk2. And quite a better trigger over the mk4.

The long skinny tapered barrel mk2's are the only one I want over the 3's. Only if I were left-handed would I go to a mk4 and a trigger job.
