Here is my 50-70 T/C. I had a 6.5" barrel made for it. I need to swap the grip, or strip and finish it to match. http://i254.photobucket.com/albums/hh83/dubber123/IMG_3023.jpg

Looks formidable....what type of loads are you shooting in that?? It would be a smokescreen with Black for sure. Interested in bullet weights and loads. Who made the barrel and is this a first or have ya done this one before.

A consealed carry snubby, kewl! I am thinking tri-ball loads should work good for such a job. Is that a G2 or an encore?

It is a G2, the barrel is made by Bullberry. I shoot only smokeless in it, and believe it or not, Trailboss is the best in it. A little longer tube would open up your powder choices. A typical load like the one shown, is a 435 gr. WW boolit, at 1,000 fps.

This isn't a tin can at 20 feet plinker. I shot a .557" and a .80" group back to back at 50 yds. from bags. 3 shot groups.

WOW! Now that is the coolest looking piece i've seen in a while. Although....my hand is hurting just looking at it.

I took this on a hog hunt a while back, and got a 275 pounder. I used a 400 gr. LBT at just under 1,000 fps. Penetration was no problem, but I wasn't too impressed with the damage done as compared to my .475 with full power loads.

The extra fps, (1,350) really seemed to make a big difference with the .475. It was only a 2 animal comparison, but the .475 was the clear winner, with much more damage done.

So what does a 6.5 inch barrel cost a fellow? with the open sights and all.

That is a cool blaster for sure...

I have the receipt somewhere, but from memory, I think it was $280.00. The sights I already had, although they are easy to pick up for $20 or so off the internet.

Bullberry offered 2 twists, 1-16", or 1-26". Per their reccomendation, I went with the 26" twist, and have been very pleased with it's cast boolit shooting.

Did they put the sights on for you, or did you have to do that?

I assume that price is for any caliber?

You have to request that they be drilled for iron sights, but they didn't charge any extra for it. It's just a few screws, so it's no biggie to install them. I do believe this caliber cost the same as any of the others.

Some other companies make this caliber barrel with VERY fast rates of twist for shooting .50 BMG bullets. It sounds like fun, but the twist would probably be a negative for shooting cast.
