just got a 2 cavity lee 9mm 356-147. there is a .001 gap between the blocks everywhere except the top of the mold (using a feeler gage) probably a little bigger that that. at the far end i can insert a .002 feeler gage. i haven't used it yet. should i be concerned or send it back to lee??

I'd not be concerned. When heated, the gap will likely go away. I'd cast with it, and see how the bullets looked before considering contacting Lee.

I recently purchased this mold and have successfully used it without any issues.

I just cast about 7 pounds of lead in my new one. 350 odd boolits. I don't detect a gap of any consequence. I did take mine apart and filed outer edges, some were pretty sharp.
